Glider Hill 2021
Glider Hill is how Wendy and I refer to a certain meadow orchard – a south-facing hill which paragliders sometimes use for practise. It’s a sprawling place, slowly reverting back to nature, only kept in check by the annual visit of a flock of sheep. We like to go there to harvest the scattered perry pear trees.
The resulting perry has a distinctive character and some very nice, bold tannins. The ’21 vintage is tasting great right now, but it will continue to develop for years in the cellar. Best buy a few bottle extra and put them away for future you!
